Continental Chocolate Slice

Ingredients

4 ounces butter

1/2 cup sugar

1.5 tablespoon cocoa

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups crushed wheatmeal biscuits

3/4 cups coconut

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Topping:

2 ounces butter

2 cups icing sugar

1 tablespoon custard powder

2 tablespoon hot water

4 ounces cooking chocolate (or 1/2 cup drinking chocolate and 3 oz copha)

Directions

Combine butter, sugar and cocoa in saucepan. Stir over low heat until well blended. Stir in beaten egg & vanilla. Cook, stirring for 1 minute. Remove from heat, stir in biscuit crumbs, coconut, walnuts and mix well. Press mixture into lamington tin and refrigerate until set.

Topping: Cream butter well. Sift icing sugar and custard powder and add to butter. Add hot water until it looks like shit. Beat until light and fluffy. Spread over biscuit base and refrigerate. Melt chocolate and spread evenly over topping. Refrigerate.
